White Bear is a cozy specialty café, part of a 24-location network. Craft coffee from their own roastery, seasonal menu and gelato — seating for up to 60.

Ads work, but how do you prove it?

White Bear needed measurability and a closed loop from online → offline. Standard campaigns did not show real impact on foot traffic.

Standard online campaigns did not show how many people who saw the ad actually came to the venue.

How do you prove ads work? A system was needed: ad → code → in-store visit – with the ability to scale across the entire chain.

A chain of 24 cafés

Success on the pilot location was meant to open the door to rollout at more locations across the chain.

No data on returning customers

There was no way to measure how many customers returned after their first visit driven by ads.

What we did, step by step

Landing page, QR codes and campaigns

From a dedicated page to a custom tracking system and Meta ads.

Dedicated landing page

A separate page for the pilot location with personalized QR code downloads — a bridge between the campaign and a visit to the café.

Tracking system: ad → visit

Custom QR code system – we know exactly who saw the ad, grabbed a code, and walked into the café. A successful test paves the way for rollout across all 24 cafés in the chain.

Facebook and Instagram campaigns

Precisely targeted ads driving traffic to the landing page with a QR code. Data from 3 weeks of campaigns.
